What's new for 1980: Front end styling was updated with a new grille that featured three horizontal slots running between the parking lamps. All new 5.0L 307 V8 became the standard powerplant. Like other 1980 Oldsmobiles, there was a new side frame jacking system. New halogen high beam headlamps became standard. There was also a sporty new XSC package which featured bucket seats and sport console, leather wrapped sport steering wheel, gauge package, firm ride and handling suspension, sport mirrors and body colored wheel discs. Other features included accent stripe and special XSC badging. |
